Ingredients
  

  • 500 gr potatoes
  • 150 gr fresh goat cheese
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1,5 dl cream
  • 2 eggs
  • herbes de Provence
  • pepper
  • salt

Instructions
 

  • Slice the onion and the garlic after removing the green sprout if any.
  • Fry them with some olive oil.
  • Preheat the oven at 200°C.
  • Slice the potatoes.
  • Place them into the pie plate and add the onions and the goat cheese between the different layers.
  • Mix the eggs, the herbes de Provence, the cream, some pepper and salt.
  • Spread on the gratin and add water until the potatoes are completely covered.
  • Bake around 40 minutes or more if needed.

    Thanks for dropping by my blog. My daughter had a macaroon in a French bistro for the first time here in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She ate it all completely before I could get a taste, because she didn’t want to share any with me. We are used to the heavy coconut concoctions made in New York. Ah… what a great treat you French have made!

    This sounds like the perfect comfort food, I love potatoes but have never thought of making them with goats cheese, brilliant & thanks for sharing
